I love the way he has restrained himself from adding unthinking highlights to the eyes. I've added a picture by Walton to my own blog ( www.articlesandtexticles.co.uk ) that shows an even more compelling pair of deep, deep eyes. It's up for auction in a couple of weeks but you can zoom into Sotheby's and look at it before the sale on the 24th April, but you only have one day left to see it in London, and that's tomorrow, Thursday 13th.
